Catrin Menai

Catrin Menai is a multi-disciplinary artist based in North Wales. Objects, photography and text are incorporated to create multi layered works that explore the nature of language ad documentation with the underlying questioning of how storytelling exists privately and publicly in the spacial and the temporal.
Questions are raised, like: 'In what form does the past exist?', and, 'can it be re-shaped?'
Using the physical and conceptual landscape as a source material, Catrin's work aims to explore existing and non-existing narratives through seemingly unconnected but intimate pasts.
